مروحة شفط دخان الحريق POPULA SWF للتشغيل في درجات حرارة عالية

Project Background: Fire Smoke Exhaust in Critical Infrastructure

Fire smoke exhaust systems are vital for life safety in buildings like subways, tunnels, high-rises, gymnasiums, underground malls, and industrial ovens. Our client, a major metro authority, faced challenges with existing fans failing during high-temperature events. They needed a reliable solution for smoke extraction that could operate at 280°C for over 30 minutes, as per local fire codes. The initial conditions included tight installation spaces and corrosive environments with dust particles up to 150 mg/m³. The client also required normal ventilation at temperatures below 80°C, transitioning automatically to fire mode upon detection. This demanded a robust fan capable of withstanding thermal shock while maintaining performance.

The existing fans could not sustain operation beyond a few minutes at high temperatures, risking structural integrity and rescue efforts. The client sought a certified solution meeting international standards like GB/T 1236 and UL 762. POPULA’s SWF series was selected for its proven track record in fire smoke exhaust applications, offering high efficiency and durability.

POPULA Solution: High-Temperature Fire Smoke Exhaust Fan Design

POPULA designed a custom SWF series fire smoke exhaust fan with the following technical specifications: motor rated at 30 kW, airflow of 80,000 m³/h at static pressure of 600 Pa, and a temperature rating of 280°C for continuous operation over 30 minutes. The fan features a stainless steel impeller and housing to resist corrosion, with a special coating for dust environments. The design includes a thermal barrier between the motor and airstream, ensuring motor temperature remains within limits even during fire smoke exhaust operation. The fan is equipped with a VFD for speed control during normal ventilation, switching to full speed upon fire alarm activation. The installation was optimized for minimal footprint, fitting within a 1.5m x 1.5m shaft. The solution also incorporated a bypass damper to allow emergency smoke extraction without backflow. All components were tested to meet the required standards, including a 30-minute burn test at 280°C.

Measurable Results: Enhanced Safety and ROI from Fire Smoke Exhaust System

After installation, the POPULA fire smoke exhaust fan demonstrated exceptional performance. In a simulated fire test, the fan operated continuously at 280°C for 35 minutes, exceeding the 30-minute requirement. The system maintained airflow within 5% of design specifications, ensuring smoke clearance and safe egress. The client reported a 30% reduction in maintenance costs compared to previous fans, thanks to the robust design and corrosion resistance. The fire smoke exhaust system contributed to a 25% faster evacuation time in drills, with zero failures during the first year. The project achieved a payback period of 18 months through energy savings and reduced downtime. A client testimonial: ‘POPULA’s fire smoke exhaust solution gave us confidence in our emergency preparedness. The fan performed flawlessly during testing, and the support team was excellent.’ The system also qualified for insurance premium reductions due to enhanced safety.
